That’s How We Do It

     We are officially in beach countdown mode!  (That’s kind of a lie.  We’ve been counting down since we got back last year.)

     Today is my last day of work – and it’s only a half day!  After this, I’m doing everything I can to get ready for a well-deserved vacation.  Planning is a pretty big deal for us.  Of course we’ve had our house booked since February I think, but the past couple of months have been nonstop organizing and planning the week. 
     Don’t let me confuse you; our week is not full of touristy trip-trapping around town.  It’s full of nothing but what you see up there.  However, we have to plan food, nights out to eat…mostly just food and what we need to bring. 
     Enter…the Beach Notebook.  We have a binder, lists (for almost every person going), and a schedule of dinner (which is really the most important thing).

     The grocery list has been made; dinner plans are finalized, and I can’t wait until I’ve got nothing to do but lay in the sand.  This weekend I’m going to see Keith…he wants me to go to the duck blind drawing with him…I’ll let you know about that on Monday.  More importantly, I’m taking him his beach list!  The womenfolk (my mother, sister, and I) are very serious about who brings what.  We’ve got a system, and it works. 
     I’ll have plenty to talk about on my week off, and then you get guest posts from some of my favorite ladies!
