Bridal Talk Tuesday

It’s been awhile since I’ve linked up anywhere, so today I’m linking up with Life with Elizabeth for Bridal Talk Tuesday.  If you caught my I Know and I Don’t post from last week then you remember that we finally set a wedding date – June 22, 2013!  We’ve still got a while to plan, but I still love to think about what I want or am looking for.  Elizabeth was doing cake talk today, so I’ll get right to showing you some of my favorites.
I have about a million favorites which you can see all over my Pinterest or here, here, here, and here

I love cake…seriously.  I know I said that the first one is my right now favorite, but the more I look at those cute little scalloped edges, the more I want to keep my mind open.  Now that we have a date, I want to jump in with both feet!  I’m the most impatient person ever, so I’m having a hard time waiting.  The good thing?  I think having a June date will push me to plan early since it’s so popular.

Just found your blog and I was sold just from the background! I'm also getting married and I'm definitely into the simple style of cakes. I find them so timeless and elegant. I'm now following and I'm looking forward to reading more :)

So happy to have you link up today! Love all the texture in the first two cakes and those scalloped edges are precious!

I totally agree - plan as much as you can early on! You'll be more likely to get all the vendors you want and save yourself lots of stress. We had a sixteen month engagement and its really unbelievable how quickly the first 12 months has flown by!

I love that last one, it's so simple and classic. It's awesome that you are having a cake, I've been to several weddings lately where instead of a cake they did a dessert or candy table. I don't know why but I love wedding cake - haha!

Congrats to you for setting a date! I'm loving all of these cakes that you've picked-- I'd have such a hard time choosing just one! Jump into planning with both feet-- get as much planning out of the way as possible, because you'll be less-stressed and a much happier bride. Congrats again sweet girl!
