Here we are again, Peanut. Seven months. I thought six months was such a landmark…and it definitely was, but seven months just sounds so big. You are more of yourself every month, and we love to watch you grow! Every month is big, but this one was huge. You got to celebrate your first Christmas and New Year. You’re becoming so independent, and I have loved being off work to spend time with you!
If it’s even possible, you are busier this month than ever! You have cemented the crawling thing but in your own way (of course). It kind of looks like you’re doing the worm. You still love to jump and make lots and lots of noise. When we hold you, all you want to do is turn around and look at everything. When your feet find a surface, you start bouncing. People always ask, “Is that him jumping, ,or are you doing that?” It’s all you, buddy. You can pretty much go anywhere you want to go…so to the floor vents, near the cords, to the electrical sockets, and into the bathroom. You like to ignore me when I say, “no.” In the past few days you’ve been trying to pull up, and I know it won’t be long. You love to push up onto your hands and toes like you’re doing yoga, but I think you just want to strike out walking!
I have been off work for Christmas, and we have had the best time together. Christmas was so fun with you, and your good behavior paid off in a big way. You have so many new toys to explore and tricks to practice. I’m already dreading going back to work and being away from you…but I won’t think about that now.
These nativities were some of your favorites this month.

This was your first “big boy” snack – toast! Since then you’ve munched on mum-mums, puffs, and more toast. You’re still loving all foods and had real peas for dinner yesterday instead of baby food. You may not have any teeth, but you can gum your food like a champ!
Stats
Length: Probably not much different from last month
Weight: You feel so heavy to me…you’ve got to be pushing 18 lbs now.
Head: Still big and round
Eating: 8 oz. at 6 a.m., 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m. with food 2 or 3 times a day and sometimes a snack.
Sleeping: 7:00ish to 6:00ish and two or three naps. I’d love to cut out that third nap, but some days you just need it!
You hate to snuggle, but I can usually squeeze in about two minutes after your morning bottle. I don’t know if you’re really loving on me or just feeling too heavy to move, but I will take it!
Davis…these are 12 month pajamas. They are skin tight on you, and I love it! I have a serious obsession when it comes to your cute, little tail in pajamas.
